Pench Jeep Safari Zones

Pench National Park has occupied the area of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and the entire national park is divided into seven zones for Jungle safari ride. These zones are far from each other. There is about 2-80 kms distance between two safari zones. Some of the area of the Pench National Park falls in the state of Maharashtra and some of the safari zones of Pench National Park falls in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The safari zones included in the state of Maharashtra are Sillari Zone and Khursapur zone. The safari zones included in the state of Madhya Pradesh are Karmajhiri Zone, Turia Zone, Jamtara Zone, Teliya Zone, wolf sanctuary zone and Rukhad zone.

In order to promote the ecosystem and to enhance the visibility, the forest department has divided the Pench National Park into five zones:

  • Touria Zone: this zone is open for the tourists from October till June. It is the most popular zone and considered to be the premium zone amidst the tourists.
  • Karmazhiri Zone: this zone shares the partial area of the Turia zone and it is also considered to be a premium zone amidst the tourists.
  • Wolf of Sanctuary: the area of this zone is rocky and this zone is famous for the presence of wolves.
  • Khursapar: here, there are three beautiful water bodies and it is sufficient to attract different species of bird as well as wild animals.
  • Sillari: this safari zone is also open for the tourists from October till June and it is famous as Bison retreat. This zone is at a distance of 35 kms from Machaan Village of Pench.
